Dr Will D’Arcy
Will graduated from University College Dublin in 1979, and has been a veterinary surgeon in Australia since 1981. Has a particular interest in medicine cases but enjoys a good mix of medicine and surgical cases.
Will and his wife Rachel have three children Aislinn, Liam and Niamh. They have currently two dogs; Chloe, a Jug (Jack Russell Terrier x Pug) and Sinner (Huntingway). They also have two horses; Louis and Lennie, four chickens, two Guiney Fowl as well as around 50,000 bees in one hive.
Dr Mimi Nguyen
Mimi graduated from the University of Sydney with Honours in December 2000 and joined Narellan Animal Hospital in January 2001. Mimi is very caring – she likes all animals, and all animals like her! Mimi has a particular interest in cases involving Internal medicine and Endocrinology. Mimi is a busy working mum with 3 young sons, Justin, Jeremy and Matthew. She also has 2 dogs at home, Josh and Boss. When Mimi manages to find some spare time, Mimi enjoys baking, reading, gardening and crafts.
Dr. Alexandra Ruff
Alex graduated from the University of Sydney in December 2015 and joined the Narellan Animal Hospital team as a new-graduate veterinarian in January 2016. Alex enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, though is particularly interested in dermatology and medicine, and she hopes to further her studies in dermatology. Alex is obsessed with Dachshunds, and owns 4 miniature dachshunds – Fang, Sizzle, Pepperoni and Cabanossi. When Alex is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her partner and her dogs, going to the movies and travelling.
Dr. Rachel Walker
Rachel graduated from the University of Sydney with First Class Honours in 1997, and has worked in various practices in Australia and the United Kingdom.
Rachel met Will when she did practical work here as a student and they were married in 2003. Rachel is currently undergoing a pHD research project studying kidney failure in Big Cats(Lions,Tigers, Leopards etc.)
Will and Rachel have three children, Aislinn, Liam and Niamh. Rachel enjoys being back at work part-time, while Will minds the kids.
Helen joined Narellan Animal Hospital in 2012 as the Practice Manager. She keeps the clinic running nice and smoothly behind the scenes, though you can often find her as one of our friendly faces at the front desk. Helen has a Business degree from the University of Western Sydney, majoring in Accounting and has Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing through Open Colleges. Helen has 3 young boys Flynn, Brooklyn and Kurtis, and Bella a Neopolitan Mastiff. When she gets the chance to, Helen enjoys caravanning around Australia with her family.
Stefanie Di Cola
Stefanie has been in the veterinary industry for 19 years she joined Narellan Animal Hospital in February 2015 and is now our head veterinary nurse. Stefanie is very competent in all fields of veterinary nursing, though has a passion for assisting surgeries and emergency care. She is very much a cat-lover, and has one cat, Romeo, as well as Rocky, their family Cattle dog. In her spare time, Stefanie enjoys spending time with her son, Shemar, going to the beach, catching the latest horror flicks, travelling, and Latin-American dancing.
Georgie joined the Narellan Animal Hospital team in July 2019, and is currently completing her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing through TAFE. Georgie is a big animal lover, and is lucky enough to live with 7 dogs, 4 cats, 4 birds, 1 sheep, 5 horses, 2 goats and over 30 cows! In her spare time, Georgie loves to watch movies and spend time with her friends.
Mel has been working in the veterinary industry for 17 years she joined Narellan Animal Hospital in February 2015. Mel has a special interest in surgical nursing, though is our resident cat-whisperer and is excellent at handling not-so-happy cats. Mel has a house full of geriatric animals, including 2 pugs, Popadom and Jet, and also 4 cats, Skittles, Timmy, Fluffy and Bert. In her spare time, Mel enjoys gardening, shopping, spending time with her daughter and husband.
Ellen started with Narellan Animal Hospital in August 2016 as a veterinary nursing student and she has now completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing through TAFE. Ellen wanted to continue her studies and is completing her qualification in Captive Animals through Taronga Zoo. Ellen has a very cheeky Australian Cattle dog at home, named Max. When Ellen is not working, she enjoys going out, travelling and spending time with her family.
Gabi started with Narellan Animal Hospital in February 2018 as a veterinary nursing student and she has now completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing through TAFE. Gabi loves being around cats and gives extra attention to the boarding cats at Narellan Animal Hospital. Gabi has a cat named Carter at home and often is the staff member that helps raise the kittens that need extra attention.
April has been grooming pets for 9 years joined the Narellan Animal Hospital team in August 2016. April is originally from Perth and moved to Sydney in 2015. April enjoys grooming a variety of breeds and takes the time to make sure each dog has a pleasant grooming experience. April also likes to attend grooming seminars to further her knowledge. She has a Weimeraner at home named Keizer Pistachio. When she’s not grooming, April enjoys spending time with her family, going for walks, and taking Keizer to the beach.
Monday-Friday: 9:00am-12:00pm and 4:00pm-7:00pm
Saturday: 9:00am-12:00pm and 2:00pm-4:00pm
Narellan Animal Hospital has been established in the Macarthur area since 1986.
