Puppy Preschool
Puppy Preschool classes are run at the hospital on Thursday nights commencing at 7.15pm running for about an hour each lesson over five weeks. The first night of the course is a theory session without your puppy, while the next four weeks are training your puppy.

Being a new puppy parent is an exciting time and there’s lots to learn about raising a happy, healthy pooch. Our Puppy Preschool Classes help you to teach them good behaviours and are run at the hospital on Thursday nights commencing at 7.15 pm. These one-hour lessons are taught over five weeks. A Pawsitive Start for your Puppy
The classes are run by Megan’s Dog Training who is a fully qualified behavioural trainer with Certificate IV in Companion Animal Services with Delta Society, the highest qualification for dog training and behaviour in Australia. All teaching uses best practice science-based, positive reinforcement methods.
The course covers how dogs learn, environmental enrichment and management strategies. All teaching uses best practice science based on positive reinforcement methods with an emphasis on play and fun, socialisation and prevention of unwanted behaviours.
All the basics are covered from sit and stay, come and drop right through to any problems that the individual may be having with their puppy. The class is designed to suit puppies from the ages of 12 weeks to 16 weeks of age with their initial vaccination being had.
